Iranian tree estimated to be a millennium old has been inscribed as National Heritage site in Razavi Khorasan Province.

The Kaje-Derakhti village in Torbat Heydariyeh county hosts the tree of the same name, which is nearly one thousand years old.

The millennium-old tree is highly valued and considered sacred by the natives of the village and according to the village trustees and elders, in the past, they used to give free food and milk for charity for a day or two under the tree, and no one was allowed to cut the tree branches.

It is very hard to say how old the trees are without cutting them down, but estimates place this tree to be over one thousand years old.
